Distance Learning Courses

Distance learning courses are one of the best things that people can do in order to make progress in their lives, and move their careers up a notch. Distance learning degrees with companies such as Kaplan University offer students the chance to get qualified in professional jobs, whether they have had academic success in the past or not.
The minimum qualifications to go straight into a BA with Kaplan University are C grade GCSEs in maths and English, as well as at least one A-Level. However, this does not mean that people who do not have these qualifications cannot apply, because there are pre entry foundation courses that can be taken in order to get students up to the standard required to start on a BA degree scheme. In most cases, the foundation degree, which can be taken before the BA in any of the subjects that Kaplan offers, will take two years. Students completing the foundation course can then go on to do a one year ‘top up’, which will convert their degree into a BA and mean that they could be graduating in as little as three years.
There are many degrees that Kaplan offers, but they are focused in three main areas: finance, the law and legal system, and business and management. For those students taking the business route on a distance learning course, there is also the chance to complete other, more minor, qualifications alongside the degree. Students on business related courses can also get the ILM qualification, which counts towards an extra diploma. This ILM qualification will help students when they are looking for a management position as a graduate.
Distance learning courses really are a good way to improve your career prospects and give a massive boost to your CV. Kaplan certainly isn’t the only place where courses like this can be taken, however, with a 95% retention rate and over 43,000 happy students taking courses across the world, it might be a good place to start.’
